Seasoned Sunday on November 10, 2019

Our third Seasoned Sunday will again take place at Wedge Oak Farm, just off I-40 near Lebanon, on November 10, 2019 from 1-5 PM. We are raising funds and awareness for the Tennessee Local Food Summit, which promotes the production and consumption of healthy, local food. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the Summit.

Seasoned Sunday will feature 6 local chefs:

  • Sandor Katz - Fermentation Revivalist and James Beard Award Winning Author

  • Lisa Donovan - Pastry Chef and James Beard Award Winning Writer

  • William Gentry - Touring Private Chef

  • Karen Overton - Farmer and Sausage Maker

  • Dustin and Dreena Schotsch - Carpe Pizza

  • Aundra Lafayette - The Soup Lady

This amazing team will create and prepare sausages made from Wedge Oak Farm's pasture raised, heritage breed meats over live fires throughout the property. This Fall event will feature pork, chicken and beef. To complete the meal, these proteins will be accompanied by artisan cheeses from Noble Springs Dairy, fresh breads, and local, seasonal vegetable dishes from our talented chefs. Lisa Donovan will also be making a vegetable dish, as Seasoned Sunday hopes to have something for everyone.

An outstanding selection on beer will be poured by five of Tennessee finest breweries: Blackberry Farm Brewery, Calfkiller Brewing, Jackalope Brewing, Southern Grist Brewing, and Yazoo's Embrace the Funk. These breweries have proven that they will bring their best. They each offer various beers, some of which are only available at the breweries or are no longer available in retail locations. In addition to the beer, Angel's Envy will be sampling a bourbon cocktail and their award winning premium whiskeys. Love and Exile will be on site serving their Nashville made local wines, as well.

Guests have close access to chefs, brewers, and makers, allowing them to interact with each other. Live music will be performed throughout the event by the fantastic Los Lemmings. Guests are welcome to take a walking tour of Wedge Oak Farm to see all of the beautiful pasture raised animals. Lebanon's Rick Wittrig, of Fire Pit Art, will be placing his gorgeous fire pits throughout the property for both cooking and

keeping guests warm.

Seasoned Sunday is a family friendly event (children 12 and under are free). S'mores with Oliver and Sinclair chocolate and homemade graham crackers and marshmallows from Erin Wilburn are the perfect way for

everyone to wrap up the evening. We look forward to hosting you in November!
